About Me
I love to tell stories and am a visual storyteller thanks to my experience within the camera department.
I specialised in Cinematography and have over ten years working in film and TV. My credits include Outlander, Karen Pirie, BAFTA Stories and Skint.

My goal is to tell interesting stories with well rounded characters, that get audiences thinking and discussing as well as entertained. I want my films to comment on the world around me, reflecting real people and current issues.
I am well versed in Drama but have experience writing and directing Sci-Fi, Romance, Thriller and Family genres in particular.
I have produced my own small budget, short films which went on to screen at different festivals, picking up various nominations and awards.

My favourite part is collaborating with other creatives, supporting them to do their best work in order to bring a great story to life!

Under The Surface
Featured Project
Under The Surface is a visually compelling short thriller/drama film, dealing with themes of depression and isolation. This film is a very personal story, told for a universal audience by creating a sensory experience with short sharp dialogue.
I have been writing Under The Surface for a wee while now as I wanted to get it right. It’s a passion project I am hoping to get off the ground and into pre-production ASAP. My goals are for the film to encourage discussion and empathy towards mental health and provide viewers with an understanding of depression and anxiety.
The script reached Semi-Final stage at the Kingston International Film Festival and is more relevant than ever with the demand for therapy, in all forms, reaching the highest it’s ever been with waiting lists now over 9 months long.
Being set in a well, changes the shooting approach, shifting from the traditional encompassing wide framing to tighter shot choices, creating the illusion of a cramped vertical location, really leaning into the themes with a claustrophobic tone.
Anywhere But Here
2021
Anywhere but Here and Infectious were pandemic projects made during lockdown, providing a much needed creative outlet!
I am so proud of both projects, not only because one went on to screen and win awards abroad, but because I had the capacity to create during one of the toughest time periods so far.

Director's Shadow
2017
I was lucky enough to shadow Director Colm McCarthy (Girl with all the Gifts) on season 4 of Black Mirror as my first ever Director training! I shadowed from prep right through to post, really gaining the entire experience.
It was fantatsic, being a fan of the show, and I learned so much every day, be it from the production or the actors process.
You can currently watch all seasons on Netflix.
