White Light Co.

White Light Co. was originally made for the Virgin Media Shorts competition restricting submissions to a 2:20 running time, limiting the filmmaker and testing their story-telling skills.
 
I am a believer in seizing any possible opportunity that comes my way, and I am very passionate about the story, so I thought it to be ideal timing.
It was also a good occasion to provide a taster of a feature-length script I had been developing, and it forced me to compress the idea down to it's bare essentials.
 
The film then went on to receive a special Pick of the Bunch at the competition as well as Best Sci-Fi Film nomination at the Limelight Film Awards.
It later won Best Micro Sci-Fi at the Oregon Short Film festival and Best Dark Sci-Fi at the Austin After Dark Film festival.
It also screened at various film festivals within the UK, and took me to the semi-finals of highly competitive events, featuring judges from BAFTA and agents from channels such as HBO.
